Dear Residents of Bismarck,

I humbly ask you to vote for me on June 9, 2026, as I seek a second term for mayor.

​

When I announced my candidacy four years ago, I pledged to Make Bismarck Better. I truly believe we have made meaningful progress. But there is more to be done – and I’m asking for four more years to help improve the quality of life for all who call Bismarck home.  

​

Many issues in our city are resolved not with headlines, but with a simple phone call to a City office or commissioner. Quietly, efficiently and respectfully – this is how good government works by listening first and then working collaboratively to find solutions. When a concern requires more than one voice, I bring everyone to the table and focus on outcomes, not personal gain and social media posts. This is the leadership style I’ve brought to Bismarck city government and our commission meetings – professional, respectful and always centered on results.

Bismarck has been my home since I was 10 years old. My wife, Janel, and I married here in 1984, raised our sons, Jason and David, and built our lives in this community. My career as a certified public accountant has been rewarding and filled with opportunities, eventually owning my own firm. David married Kate in 2021, and since then, becoming Grandpa to Hazel and Harrison has been one of my most cherished roles.

My roots in Bismarck run deep. I cherish the times I’ve given back by volunteering for numerous local boards for the University of Mary, Bismarck State College, Bismarck-Mandan Chamber EDC, Light of Christ Catholic Schools and the Diocese of Bismarck. These experiences have shaped my commitment and drive to lead with integrity and purpose.

My work as mayor isn’t complete, so please peruse the site and capture the vision I have for an even more vibrant and successful future for Bismarck.
